Think your Ape has what it takes to be the cover Ape for Ape Water’s next can? If the answer is yes, now’s your chance to submit your Ape and possibly see it on the next can of the BAYC-inspired brand. Here’s what you need to know about the contest, and how you can enter.
Ape Water and BoredJobs announced this one-of-a-kind contest via Twitter. Ultimately, the winner of the contest and the new face of Ape Water will take a $10,000 prize. To enter, you can submit your Ape by filling out a form. Amongst other questions, you need to confirm that you’re the owner of said NFT. After the end of the registration period, Ape Beverages and BoredJobs will select up to 200 Apes to advance to the next round.
Once submissions have closed, a selection of Apes will advance to the next round. Then, these Apes will feature in an Ape Beverages animated video. Following this, the Apes starring in this video will then be entered into the final casting call. Finally, one Ape will be selected at random during a live Twitter Spaces. In addition to the $10,000 cash prize, the winning holder will also have their NFT on a future release of the canned water brand. Applications close on October 15th, and you must be over 18 to apply.
About Ape Water
Ape Water is a canned water brand with a Web3 twist. According to its official website: “Ape Beverages is redefining the world’s relationship with water. Much more than just the best water on Earth in a funny can; Ape Beverages has exciting plans for future generations (no cap).”
The Ape Water brand sources its water from Mt. Shasta, California, and completely manufactures the product in the U.S. What makes the brand stand out from the crowd is its emphasis on using NFT collections as branding – particularly BAYC. This is possible only due to the fact that Bored Ape Yacht Club holders own their Ape’s IP.
